Creatures crawl in search of blood . . .

Your task is to complete the sentence:
When darkness falls, _____
using a photomanipulation!
[In other words: Show us what happens when Darkness falls!]

You can interpret the sentence to mean anything you want.
It doesn't have to be dark or horror/macabre,
but it must be very clear that you are using the 'darkness' theme.
Fantasy is fine; Emotional is fine.
Remember: Out of darkness comes the light.
This is a theme anyone can use; be creative and reach beyond your boundaries!

The Rules for this contest are as follows:

Entry must be a photomanipulation.
All stock and resources must be credited with direct links.
Your entry must have been created between June 4th and August 3rd.
You must complete the sentence "When darkness falls, ___" in your artist's comment.
The dark theme must be reflected in some way in your work.
Please include a link to this contest blog in your artist's statement.
Your entry must be received by 11:59 PM New York time on August 3rd.
You may enter as many times as you want.
