Welcome to the March 16th edition of the Photomanipulation News and Feature. There has been a lot of excitement in our community lately, so I hope this newsletter will help clear some things up, spread some really positive news, and get us back on track.

Some positive solutions
A lot of people have put together journals documenting other accounts here on dA and some other sites that allow their stock to be used for photomanipulation. I wanted to share their efforts with you because I think they're pretty awesome. Here you go: Unrestricted use directory

Those are the ones I have added to my own collection. I know there are others; if you show them to me, I'll be happy to include them.
Community Relations and the Community Volunteer team are making over dA's art galleries!
Our goal is to streamline the submission process so that it is easier for you to know where to submit your art.
Our task is to restructure the Photomanipulation and Mixed Media galleries, and you guys have come up with some really great ideas. You can see what people have come up with and add your own thoughts and opinions here
. Your contribution is still welcome!

CR Community Projects
I have recently taken on the position of CV for Community Projects in addition to Photomanipulation. I have a really great team, without whom I could never do both. We will be officially opening our doors soon, but if you're super eager and want to get involved now, come join us at CRCommunityProjects
is a new group dedicated to bringing dark, horror, and macabre photomanipulation back to the forefront of dA's attention. Anyone is welcome to join, but only art that is truly dark (in concept and/or in presentation) will be accepted.
Some other great stuff that I have collected recently: Video tutorial on surreal photomanipulation "Requiem" art book Dark Eyes tutorial Pimps and Whoas
10 Phenomenal Photomanips under 100
Here is a collection of gorgeous manipulations that deserve more attention; at the time of this posting, they each had less than 100 favorites.
Happy creating. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
