I just need to vent a second . . .
First, my time just got very limited. I got a new job, my first as a Ph.D., which is going to require a LOT of my time. So while I am still committed to DA, my time is going to be smaller. I'll probably have to drop some groups and such.
So, as you can guess, I don't have much time to spend searching for DDs. Usually I spend 2 hours or so per day just looking for DDs. I don't have that kind of time anymore. And now, when I do find something I want to DD, it is always a contest entry.
There are some AWESOME contests out there, and you guys are rocking them!! But I can't DD contest entries until the contest is over and winners have been announced! 
It's not as easy as it looks to be a CV. It takes tons of time to find good pieces to showcase, and that is only a tiny part of what we do. So when you have a full plate, sometimes it's difficult to spend hours at a time just looking for things to DD.
I've been getting a lot of great DD suggestions, but I can't feature most of them because of things like inconsistent lighting, bad composition or blending, or sketchy stock.
Please keep sending suggestions; between your suggestions and my 1-2 hour searches as time permits, we will find and showcase the best that Photomanip has to offer.
I hope this explains why there haven't been daily DDs lately. I'm just having a hard time finding recent things that use good stock, have reasonably good lighting and don't look pieced together, and are NOT contest entries.
