In the first 15, there were 4 images that I thought could be DDs.
NONE OF THESE FOUR credited their stock.
Therefore, NONE OF THEM got DDs.
I understand that people don't feel the need to credit stock that was purchased or stock that is otherwise their own. However, unless they LET ME KNOW that the stock is legitimate (e.g. by saying "All stock mine" or "Stock purchased from Fotolia") then I don't know that it's okay and I am hesitant to give them a DD. I know people say, "I shouldn't be guilty until proven innocent!" I agree, but the truth is that a lot of people use Google images or celebrity images in their manipulations, and we have to have some way to distinguish.
Oh, also . . . one REALLY GREAT deviation used images that aren't stock.
Please pay attention to stock. I really don't like passing up potential DDs, and I don't have the time or desire to note everyone and poke them to add their stock credits. Plus, that would be unfair to those who actually DO credit stock.
OK. I'm done ranting. Thank you for listening.

I'm a contributor on a few photomanip groups and this is one the main problems we see. It's not hard to credit >>. I hope they read this haha.
I do not understand anyone who doesn't list their own resources! Talk about cheap advertising! I will advertise my own stock whenever I get a chance!
Even something from Renderosity will get a link. I want to share where I purchase great stock
So I completely agree with your words.
Merry Christmas!
