1. I have a super short attention span and get bored quickly. It's no offense to anyone; that's just how I roll.
2. I wish I could save every homeless cat or dog. I seriously get teary when I see pet adoptions and animal pounds, and I flat-out sob like a baby when I see the TV commercials about pet abuse (from PETA, SPCA, etc.). Incidentally, I have a golden retriever who is fully loved and totally spoiled.
3. I am bipolar in so, so many ways.
4. I love music and am a bit musical (I sing). As a child of the 80's, I grew up on hair bands and metal. You don't see so much of that anymore, but it was a great era. OK, except for the hair-- that was a bit ridiculous.
5. I love yoga. OMG do I love yoga.
6. I almost have a Ph.D. It comes from the #2 school of public health in the US; we have beaten Harvard and Yale for like 5 years in a row. I have not had a great experience at my school, but I am still fighting to finish in June. My research topic is the intersection of mental health and physical health-- specifically, depression and diabetes. All of this must mean I'm a pretty smart cookie-- and I am, I just have zero common sense and tend to say things that offend or annoy people easily.
7. I'm eclectic when it comes to religion. I was raised Catholic, but I also feel very in-tune with nature and have studied and taken pieces of religions that are peaceful and in-touch with nature. I actually have this vision of religion or "church" where we all, around the world, believe similar things and have similar gods (just calling them different things), and I think genocide and slavery are bastardizations of the teachings and messages of those gods. A lot of it is semantics, and you don't have to squeeze into one group and sacrifice the rest of yourself just to fit in.
8. I love fruit, especially oranges. And especially mandarin oranges.
9. I'm a much better writer than I am a visual artist, but I honestly don't like having my writing critiqued.
10. I am passionate about mental health, and I laugh every time I hear someone say, "My goal is to prevent mental health." Um, no, it's to prevent mental illness. If you take nothing else in this journal to heart, please take this: Please join mental-health and support the rights, well-being, and dignity of people who live with mental illness. About 1 out of every 5 people will experience mental illness of some sort during their lifetimes. That's 20%. It could be you, and it will definitely be someone you know. Wishing goodness or blessing for a person can never be a bad thing, and we need your support.

1. If you were a worm, how long would you be?
About a meter. If you're going to be a worm, you might as well be a tapeworm or something, right?
2. Who do you love enough to cook or bake for?
My mommy. Also pretty much anyone. I love making cupcakes or muffins and running them to a neighbor.
3. If you could speak another language, what would it be?
I can already speak un peu de francais, so maybe Spanish? I'm utilitarian like that.
4. What is a cause that you're willing to fight for?
The rights, well-being, and dignity of people who live with mental illness
5. What is your most prized possession?
When I got my master's degree, my dad gave me diamond earrings. I would be crushed if anything happened to them.
6. What is your least favourite vegetable?
Cauliflower.
7. What is the strangest talent you have?
I'm really quite an excellent bitch.

Innie.
9. What is the last song you heard?
I had That Metal Show on today, and something by Dio came on right before it went off. I think it was Holy Diver.
10. Do you believe in magic?
Do you believe in the moon? The earth? The trees? For me, magic is just as natural and normal as those things are.
