Group update

First, I want to say how sorry I am that I am just now writing this journal. Life has been very hectic over the past few months, and I have barely been on DA.

Our SuperGroup status just ran out. That means we can only feature art from the Featured folder, which I really hate because it's all Admin art. I will take care of this if we decide to keep moving forward with the group. I hate not being able to feature group members' art. I will do some group features from Sta.sh or something. 

What is the purpose of this group?

arcanevault was established to be a home for all things arcane (secret, mysterious, magical, in the dark, etc.). Our original purpose was to feature great digital art along this theme. If you're in the know, you might also get a tip or two.

Is there something more you want to share here? Tales of the supernatural, perhaps?? Let us know.

What are we looking for?

There are thousands of groups on DA, and a large chunk of them are dedicated to digital art. We don't want to be just another group. There are plenty of places to share everyday art. There are even lots of places to share really good art. We decline more art than we accept by far, and that's because we don't want to share work that is not related to our theme or that isn't exceptional.

We are looking first for good art. That means that the artist has considered composition, digital lighting, blending when doing photomanipulations, and overall cohesion of the work. 

But even more important, we are looking for art that conveys a story, has meaning and soul. 

So, in short, keep submitting your awesome art. We'll figure out another way to showcase it or open the Featured folder. Please keep it on-theme. And let us know what else you want to see.
